Bashar Barakah Jackson (July 20 1999 - February 19, 2020) known professionally by the name of Pop Smoke, was an American musician and rapper. Victor Victor Worldwide, Republic Records and Bashar Barakah Jackson were his recorded labels. The popularity of Pop Smoke grew when the group worked together alongside UK producers of drills 808Melo Axl Beats (UK) as well as Yoz Beatz (UK). Welcome to the Party, the first single from the mixtape he released as his debut Meet the Woo released in the summer of 2019 was released by him on April 2019. In August two remixes of his track the song Welcome to the Party featuring American rapper Nicki Minaj and British rapper Skepta released. In April 2019, Pop Smoke released his breakout single Welcome to the Party the lead single of the mixtape he released as his debut album, Meet the Woo (2019). It was later remixed twice, one with Nicki Minaj and the other with Skepta in August 2019. The song was noted for its usage in UK drill production later commonly heard in his discography. It is due to the numerous collaborations that he had with British drill manufacturer 808Melo. Mpr Flexin along with Dior are among his other well-known songs. Following the popularity of Welcome to the Party and other singles, such as War with Lil Tjay & 100k On A Coupe featuring Calboy he began collaborating with other artists on songs. Gatti by JackBoys & Travis Scott, released on JackBoys' (2019) album is a joint effort with him and Travis Scott.
