She currently lives with her family in New York City. Chando attended Manhattan College prior to becoming an actor. Chando was the very first Maddie Coleman of the television soap show As World Turns. She played this role from 2005 until 2007 and then again, for a few months, in 2009 at the end. Alexandra's acting debut was in the TV program House Blend in which she appeared as Jenna Harper. In the following three seasons, she starred on the American soap opera for television that was telecast at CBS, As the World Turns in the role of Maddie Coleman. Chando made her TV debut with True life (an American documentary) at the end of 2009. In 2009, she made her TV debut in another documentary she was a guest on Sherri, a TV show. She also starred as Annabelle in two episodes of Glory Daze, an American comedy and drama television show. Also, she was on Castle, Hindsight and Dead People.
